Christmas Countdown – Series Two

I love Christmas. Growing up, my Nanna instilled in me the importance of love and unity during Advent. It was Nanna who inspired my own passion of giving and connecting during this time of the year.

To recognise the nearing of Christmas, I am creating a three part series to share with you the ways that I celebrate. In today’s series, I will share my favourite Christmas films and themed television episodes with you all.

My all time favourite Christmas film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. I watch this movie all year round!

Leading up to Christmas, it is a tradition within my family to watch and laugh along to our favourite Christmas films. Being together as a family in the holiday season is something that we truly cherish, and makes us appreciate how lucky we are to have each other.

In no particular order, here are what I consider to be the best Christmas films and television episodes:

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York

Just Friends

The Polar Express

Love Actually

A Christmas Carol

Home Alone

Roman Holiday – Gossip Girl season one, episode 11

Miracle on Evergreen Terrace – The Simpsons season nine, episode 10

The Best Chrismukkah Ever – The O.C. season one, episode 13

Christmas is a time of giving and receiving love. It is a time to welcome others, and find peace. Watching Christmas themed films and television specials is only one of the ways that I celebrate Christmas in the month of December. More will be revealed in next Thursday’s post.

What a beautifully crafted film The Polar Express is!
